was the furthest place offered on offer day for 2025-26 (Reception). That is how far the last place reached in ONE year — not a boundary, and not a guarantee. It moves with the number of applicants, so treat it as a guide rather than a line on a map.
Last distance offered at St Mary Abbots CofE Primary School, year by year →
When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: Nearness to the school will be calculated using a straight line (as the crow flies) measurement from the child's home 'address point' determined by Ordnance Survey Data to the centre of the school grounds as determined by the Royal Borough using its computerised measuring system. The child living closest to the school will receive the highest priority. If applicants share the same address point priority will be given to those who live closest to the ground floor and then by ascending flat number order. Where more than one child has the same distance measurement a decision will be made using random allocation.
EHCP children are admitted through a separate procedure outside the normal criteria. Open Places are capped at the lesser of two places or 20% of remaining places after LAC, siblings and EHCP places are awarded. If vacant places remain after all categories are filled, they are treated as further Open Places filled by nearness to school. When a family has only moved into the area within the last two years, evidence of commitment to their previous CTIE church will also be taken into account.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
