How places were offered at St Mary's Catholic Primary School, year by year →
When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: Where the offer of places to all the applicants in any of the sub-categories listed above would still lead to oversubscription, the places up to the admission number will be offered to those living nearest to the school as measured in a straight line from the school grounds to the applicants home or moorings address (including flats). If two or more applications are received from the same block of flats, the applicant with the lower door number will be classed as nearest and offered a place because they are likely to be closer to the ground floor and, therefore, the school. In the event of distances being the same for two or more children where this would determine the last place to be allocated, random allocation will be carried out by the local authority’s computerised allocation system.
The document title states '2027-2028 ADMISSIONS POLICY' and application/offer/appeal dates (Jan 2027, April 2027, May 2027) correspond to September 2027 entry, though the PAN paragraph text refers to 'September, 2026' which appears to be a residual/incorrect reference from a prior year's policy. Multiple births/twins provision: where one of the children is last ranked within PAN, the admission authority will where logistically possible admit all. Certificate of Catholic Practice (CCP) required for criteria 3-6, submitted by closing date.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
