When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: In the case of over subscription arising in any one of the oversubscription criteria, the deciding factor in that category will be geographical proximity to the school, with those children whose home address is closest to the school receiving highest priority. Distances are measured using HCC's straight line computerised mapping system to two decimal places. When there is a need for a tie break where two different addresses are the same distance, the lower door number will be deemed nearest; if still unresolved, a random number assigned by HCC (between 1 and 1 million) is used, with the lowest number given priority.
The Governors will offer a place to a child with an EHC Plan naming Christ Church School before any oversubscription criteria are applied (not numbered as a criterion). The governors will admit over PAN when a single twin/multiple birth child is allocated a place, as an exception to the infant class size rule.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
