When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.

1. 1Looked after and previously looked after children — Looked after children (LAC) and children who were looked after in England, but ceased to be due to being adopted or became subject to a residence order or special guardianship order
2. 2Children living within catchment area — Children living within the LA defined catchment area of the school
3. 3Children with older sibling at the school — Children who have an older sibling at the same TCAT school, either at the time the application is made or at the time the child would be due to start
4. 4Children of TCAT staff — Children who are the children of TCAT staff, including members of the Trust Board and Local Governing Bodies
5. 5Exceptional medical, social or compassionate grounds — Children with exceptional medical, social, or compassionate grounds for admission where the parents can show that admission to a TCAT school is necessary for the wellbeing of their child
6. 6Nearest by shortest walking route — Children who live nearest to the school by the shortest available walking route

Children with an Educational Health Care Plan which names a TCAT school will be allocated places (statutory duty, applied before oversubscription criteria). CATCHMENT: The point within the school grounds for any TCAT school from which the school will measure any distance or radii is the door of the school reception. This point will be used to determine the school's catchment area. This will be measured using the child's primary address. The catchment area relates to the defined catchment area as determined by the LA. Transcribed from the school's own determined admission arrangements as published by Herefordshire Council. Children with an EHCP naming the school are admitted first; that is a statutory duty, not an oversubscription criterion.
