When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: Where two applications cannot otherwise be separated, the Trust will follow a fair, clear and effective ‘tie-breaker’ procedure by allocating the place to the pupil who lives closest to school. / If more children qualify under a particular criterion than there are places available, priority will be given to those children who live closest to the school (as described under criteria 5).
Children with a Statement of SEN or an EHC Plan naming the school are admitted before oversubscription criteria are applied, as per statutory requirement, but this is not numbered as a criterion in the document.
