When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: If two applicants live exactly the same distance the allocation of the place will be determined by lottery which will be carried out by the Admissions Committee in the presence of an independent witness. When deciding between applicants who appear to have equal entitlement to admission under the criteria, the governors will offer the place to the applicant who lives nearest to the main entrance to the school in Isabella Road measured by a straight line. In the event that multiple applicants are considered to be of equal distance as per this measurement, random allocation will be used and this will be independently verified.
The 30 places are split into 15 Foundation places (faith-based) and 15 Open places, or the same ratio following admission of children in public care. If a vacancy in one category cannot be filled by applicants meeting that category's criteria, governors will use the criteria for the other category to fill it. Multiple-birth applicants unsuccessful due to allocation limits are ranked alphabetically for the available spaces, with unsuccessful siblings placed on the waiting list. Children with an EHCP naming the school are admitted first and count against the PAN (not itself a numbered oversubscription criterion).
