Every applicant who applied on time was offered a place for 2024-25 (Reception), so there was no cut-off distance. This changes from year to year; check the current year's figures before relying on it.

When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: Where there are places available for some but not all applicants within a particular priority, distance from the home to school will be the deciding factor, with preference given to those applicants whose home address (Note 7) nearest the school when measured in a straight line (i.e. as the crow flies) from the centre of the home residence to the school's main entrance. Gateshead Local Authority support the school in the use of their computerised measuring system if necessary. In the event that two distance measurements are identical, the school will use random allocation to decide which child should be offered the place. The process will be conducted in the presence of a person independent of the school
Children with an Education, Health and Care (EHC) plan naming the School will always be offered places, prior to application of numbered criteria (not itself numbered).
