was the furthest place offered for 2023-24 (Reception). The council's figures don't show whether anyone was refused, so it may not have been a cut-off.
Last distance offered at William Martin Church of England Infant and Nursery School, year by year →
When there are more applications than places for 2026-27 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: Proximity to the school. We will measure the distance by a straight line. All straight-line distances are calculated electronically using a geographical information system. In the event that two or more children live at the same distance from the school (as can happen with families living in blocks of flats), random allocation, where supervised drawing of lots by an independent responsible person of good standing will be used to decide which child(ren) will be allocated the remaining place(s) (in accordance with 1.34 and 1.35 of the School Admissions Code).
The school will admit any pupils with an Education, Health and Care plan naming the school before applying the numbered oversubscription criteria (not itself numbered as a criterion).
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
Same phase, ranked by distance and how closely they match.
