When there are more applications than places for 2026-27 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.

1. 1Looked After Children (LAC) / Previously Looked After Children (PLAC) — Looked After Children (LAC) / Previously Looked After Children (PLAC) (in care of the authority) ... will be given first priority in oversubscription criteria ahead of all other applicants in accordance with the School Admissions Code 2014.
2. 2Exceptional Medical or Social Needs — Children with Exceptional Medical or Social Needs. Medical need means where written evidence has been provided from a senior clinical medical officer or the child’s general practitioner / specialist showing that the child’s condition would make it detrimental to the child’s health not to admit him/her to the School... Social Need means where the child is of confirmed refugee status.
3. 3Priority admissions area with sibling — Children living in the priority admissions area with a sibling at the School. A child whose home address is inside the priority admissions area is eligible for this category where they have a sibling attending the School on the date of application and the sibling will still be attending the School at the time of admission.
4. 4Outside priority area with sibling — Children living outside the priority admissions area with a sibling at the School. A child living outside the priority admissions area is eligible for this category where (i) they have a sibling attending the School on the date of application and (ii) the sibling will still be attending the School at the time of admission.
5. 5Priority area meeting faith criterion — Children living inside the priority admissions area who meet the faith criterion, in order of priority: attendance at Church of England church (min 8 times/12 months), then other Christian church, then other faith group member of local Council of Faiths.
6. 6Children of Staff — Where children of staff do not fall into any of the previous categories, priority given where the member of staff has been employed at the school for two or more years, or is recruited to fill a vacant post for which there is a demonstrable skill shortage.
7. 7Other children in priority area without sibling — Other children living in the priority admissions area without a sibling at the school. A child living inside the priority admissions area is eligible for this category.
8. 8Outside priority area meeting faith criterion — Children living outside the priority admissions area who meet the faith criterion, in order of priority: Church of England, other Christian church, other faith group member of local Council of Faiths.
9. 9Remaining applications — Remaining applications. In the event of oversubscription within any of the above criteria, priority will be determined by straight line distance from home to school, those living closest to the school given the highest priority.

If two applications tie: Where two applications cannot otherwise be separated, the trust will follow a fair, clear and effective ‘tie-breaker’ procedure by allocating the place to the pupil who lives closest to school.
