was the furthest place offered on offer day for 2026-27 (Reception). That is how far the last place reached in ONE year — not a boundary, and not a guarantee. It moves with the number of applicants, so treat it as a guide rather than a line on a map.
Last distance offered at St Peter's Catholic Primary School, year by year →
When there are more applications than places for 2026-27 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: Where the offer of places to all the applications in any of the sub-categories listed above would still lead to oversubscription, the places up to the admission number will be offered to those living nearest to the school measured by straight line distance... when there are applicants with an identical distance competing for a single place at the school the place will be offered to applicants on the basis of lots drawn by a person deemed to be impartial with no involvement or personal interest in admissions. Exceptional medical circumstances (supported by medical evidence) may override the above.
Within each numbered category, the following provisions apply in order: (i) Staff applications - preference for children of staff employed 2+ years or recruited to fill a demonstrable skill-shortage vacancy; (ii) Sibling applications - preference for children with a sibling in Year R to Year 5 at the time of application, after staff applications. Twins and siblings from multiple births admitted together where logistically possible if one child is the last ranked within PAN.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
