When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Year 7), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: a) straight-line distance from home to school (Devon LA's Geographical Information System, address point marker to the centre of the school's main entrance); then b) where distances are equal (within 2 metres), an electronic list randomiser is used. Random allocation is not applied to multiple-birth siblings tied for the final place – all will be admitted, exceeding the PAN if necessary.
