was the furthest place offered on offer day for 2026-27 (Reception). That is how far the last place reached in ONE year — not a boundary, and not a guarantee. It moves with the number of applicants, so treat it as a guide rather than a line on a map.
Last distance offered at Broadclyst Community Primary School, year by year →
When there are more applications than places for 2025-26 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: If in categories 2-7 above a tie-break is necessary to determine which child is admitted, the child living closest to the school will be given priority for admission. Distance is measured from the child's home to the front gates of the school in a straight line. Random allocation undertaken by the local authority or another body unconnected with the Academy Trust will be used as a tie-break in categories 2-7 above to decide who has highest priority for admission if the distance between a child's home and the school is equidistant in any two or more cases. Random allocation will not be applied to multiple birth siblings (twins and triplets etc.) from the same family tied for the final place. We will admit them all, as permitted by the infant class size rules and exceed our PAN.
EHCP children admitted before oversubscription criteria applied. Supplementary Information Form required for exceptional need claims (criterion 2). Waiting list maintained for remainder of academic year. Appeals available. Deferred entry and part-time options available for children below compulsory school age. Requests for admission outside normal age group considered on individual circumstances.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
