When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: Priority will be given to the child who lives nearer to the preferred school (straight-line measurement). Should distances be exactly the same, random allocation will be used, supervised by an independent person using Cornwall Council's Random Allocation Protocol.
This is a trust-wide policy covering 18 academies with two sets of oversubscription criteria: criteria above apply to Garras, Godolphin, Halwin, Illogan, Lanner, Marazion, Parc Eglos, Pencoys, Pennoweth, Porthleven, Portreath, Rosemellin, Roskear, Sithney, Trannack, Treloweth, Weeth. Penpol School has a different order (LAC, siblings, staff, designated area, professional recommendation, all others). Individual PANs are published per school (ranging from 7 to 60). Document is marked DRAFT.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
Same phase, ranked by distance and how closely they match.
