When there are more applications than places for 2026-27 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: Where more than one child meets these criteria and applicants still remain, the child living nearest to the school will be admitted. All distances will be measured by the shortest walking distance (using Google Maps) between the main school gate and the point where the child's home meets the public highway. Where the final place allocated up to the admission number is one of a multiple birth, the LA will also admit the other sibling(s).
CEREDIGION DOES NOT OPERATE CATCHMENT AREAS — its criteria turn entirely on whether the preferred school is the NEAREST SUITABLE SCHOOL, with a sibling acting as a tie-break within that test rather than as a criterion of its own. Note the consequence: a sibling at a school that is NOT your nearest suitable school ranks last, below a family with no sibling connection whose nearest suitable school it is. Siblings are defined as pupils with full, half or step brothers or sisters, or adoptive or foster children, who are attending the preferred school and are living in the same household at the time of admission. A pupil's home address is the residential property that is the child's only or main residence, owned by or rented under a written agreement to the parent or person with parental responsibility.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
This school hasn't claimed its profile yet, so it can't receive enquiries here. Leave your details and we'll pass them on if the school joins School Atlas.
