Distance did not decide places here
Every applicant who applied on time was offered a place for 2026-27 (Reception), so there was no cut-off distance. This changes from year to year; check the current year's figures before relying on it.
How places were offered at Wrestlingworth CofE Infant School, year by year →
When there are more applications than places for 2026-27 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: Straight line distance will be used as a tiebreaker in each criterion where required to determine the allocation of places. The distance the pupil lives from the school, which is measured in a straight line, using the Local Authority's computerised measuring system, with those living closer to the school receiving the higher priority. In the event of (a) two or more children living at the same address point (e.g. children resident in a block of flats) or (b) two addresses measuring the same distance from the school, the ultimate tiebreaker will be random selection, using the Synergy Admissions database to allocate the place.
PAN of 26 was approved by the Office of the Schools Adjudicator (OSA) as a variation; document revised July 2025. This is a Voluntary Controlled school; Central Bedfordshire Council is the admissions authority. Sibling criterion covers siblings at either Wrestlingworth Infant School or Dunton Junior School.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
