Distance did not decide places here
Every applicant who applied on time was offered a place for 2026-27 (Year 7), so there was no cut-off distance. This changes from year to year; check the current year's figures before relying on it.
How places were offered at Fulbrook School, year by year →
When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Year 7), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: Distance between the applicant's principal residence and the School will be used as a tiebreaker, with those living nearest being given priority. Distance is measured from the front door of the School to the front door of the applicant's residence in a straight line using a computerised measuring system. In the event that there are two residences at the same distance and it is not possible to distinguish between them, then random allocation will be used to determine priority. Where random allocation is used, it will be independently supervised.
The school has two entry points: Year 5 (PAN 60) and Year 7 (PAN 60 for external pupils; total Year 7 capacity is 120 including ~60 internal pupils transferring from Year 6). The feeder school criterion differs between Year 5 and Year 7. The defined area covers: Aspley Guise, Husborne Crawley, Ridgmont, Woburn, Woburn Sands and Hockliffe. The criteria listed in the JSON reflect the Year 5 oversubscription criteria order (Year 7 criteria are identical in structure except for criterion 2 which refers only to Swallowfield Primary School).
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
