When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: In each of the categories above priority will be given to: (1) Looked After Children and children who are temporarily resident in Carmarthen's Women's Aid refuge; (2) the children of armed forces personnel who are admitted outside the normal admission round; (3) children whose twin or other sibling from multiple birth is admitted as non-excepted pupils, as the final pupil(s) allocated a place before the admission number is reached. The distance from home to the school, as measured by the shortest radius from the most central school building, will be used as a criterion for determining priority, with those living nearest the school being given priority.
The Admission Number for the school is 60 pupils. Children with IDPs naming the school will be awarded places prior to the oversubscription criteria being applied. Excepted pupils maintain that status for the duration of their time in an infant class or until classes are reorganised or numbers comply with infant class size legislation.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
Same phase, ranked by distance and how closely they match.
