When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Year 7), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: If there are insufficient places to admit all candidates in any of the above categories, priority will be given to those living closest to the school measured ‘as the crow flies’ from home address to centre of the school.
Children from 34 named feeder schools will be given priority in each category (feeder schools not individually named in text). The governing body will give top priority, after the category of looked‑after children, to children whose exceptional medical, social or pastoral needs justify a place, where compelling written evidence is provided at time of application from an appropriate professional. The attendance of a sibling at the school at the time of enrolment will increase the priority of an application within each category. Sixth Form: governors propose to admit a minimum of 30 external applicants annually; in oversubscription, the same criteria and priorities apply.
