When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: If there is oversubscription, pupils are admitted in the order of how close their home is to the school. Distance is calculated using a straight line measurement from the pupil's home to the school gate using the Council's GIS. To ensure consistency, no other method will be considered. Each property has a coordinate taken from Ordnance Survey ADDRESS-POINT data. This is the point which the distance measurement will be taken from.
