was the furthest place offered for 2026-27 (Reception). The council's figures don't show whether anyone was refused, so it may not have been a cut-off.
Last distance offered at Ashleigh Primary School, year by year →
When there are more applications than places for 2025-26 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: If category (b), (c) or (d) is oversubscribed, geographical proximity (as set out in category (d)) will be used as the 'tie-breaker'. If after measuring distances it is still not possible to decide on the child/ren to be offered admission (e.g. 2 children living in the same block of flats or in the same house) random allocation will be used to decide which of the children can be offered a place. The draw will take place at Ashleigh Primary School and the names will be drawn by the governing body.
Children with an education, health and care plan for whom the preferred school is named in the statement will be admitted first, before the oversubscription criteria are applied. The waiting list operates until 31st December 2025 only.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
