was the furthest place offered on offer day for 2026-27 (Reception). That is how far the last place reached in ONE year — not a boundary, and not a guarantee. It moves with the number of applicants, so treat it as a guide rather than a line on a map.

When there are more applications than places for 2025-26 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: Within each of the categories above, priority is given to those who live nearest to the school, measured in a straight line from the child’s home address to a designated point on the school premises.
Birmingham City Council is the admission authority for community and voluntary controlled schools. Criteria as determined for September 2025 entry, para 1 (standard community/VC). Tie-breaker: Within each of the categories above, priority is given to those who live nearest to the school, measured in a straight line from the child’s home address to a designated point on the school premises. Any child with an Education, Health and Care Plan naming the school is admitted first; this is not an oversubscription criterion.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
