Distance did not decide places here
Every applicant who applied on time was offered a place for 2026-27 (Reception), so there was no cut-off distance. This changes from year to year; check the current year's figures before relying on it.
How places were offered at Mansfield Green E-ACT Academy, year by year →
When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: Where two or more applications cannot be separated by the oversubscription criteria outlined above, priority will be given to the child living nearest to the school, measured in accordance with the distance methodology used by the relevant Local Authority. Where two or more applicants live at the same distance from the school and it is therefore not possible to determine priority, random allocation will be used to decide between them.
All children whose Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) names the school will be admitted before any other places are allocated. Families of UK service personnel with a confirmed posting, or crown servants returning from overseas, will be allocated a place in advance of the family arriving in the area, provided a place is available and the application is accompanied by an official letter that declares a relocation date. In case of twins/multiple births, the other child(ren) may be admitted above PAN. Transcribed from the school's own determined admission arrangements as published by Birmingham City Council. Children with an EHCP naming the school are admitted first; that is a statutory duty, not an oversubscription criterion.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
