Distance did not decide places here
Every applicant who applied on time was offered a place for 2026-27 (Reception), so there was no cut-off distance. This changes from year to year; check the current year's figures before relying on it.
How places were offered at Harper Bell Seventh-day Adventist School, year by year →
When there are more applications than places for 2025-26 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: If there is no other way of separating the application according to the admissions criteria and to admit both or all of the children would cause the legal limit to be exceeded, the Local Authority will use a computerised system to randomly select the child to be offered the final place.
Admission number: 30 pupils Reception to Year 2 and 32 pupils Year 3 to Year 6. Children with an EHCP naming the school are admitted with overall priority; this is not an oversubscription criterion. Closing date for Reception September 2025 applications was 15 January 2025. Transcribed from the school's own determined admission arrangements as published by Birmingham City Council. Children with an EHCP naming the school are admitted first; that is a statutory duty, not an oversubscription criterion.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
