How places were offered at Abbey Catholic Primary School, year by year →
When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: If there is oversubscription within a category, the Local Governing Body will give priority to children living closest to the school determined by the shortest distance. Distances are calculated on the basis of a straight-line measurement between the child's home address and the school front door. In a very small number of cases where distance is exactly the same, the Local Authority will use a computerised system to randomly select the child to be offered the final place.
Parish boundaries are as shown on the Archdiocese of Birmingham parish boundary map. The school is part of the St John Paul II Multi Academy. A looked after child living with a family where at least one of the carers is Catholic will be considered as Catholic provided the carer forwards a copy of their Catholic Baptismal or Reception certificate to the school.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
