was the furthest place offered on offer day for 2026-27 (Reception). That is how far the last place reached in ONE year — not a boundary, and not a guarantee. It moves with the number of applicants, so treat it as a guide rather than a line on a map.
Last distance offered at Widcombe Infant School, year by year →
When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
Reproduced by Bath & North East Somerset Council in its 2027-2028 primary admissions booklet, which prints each school's own oversubscription criteria under the school's name. This school is its own admission authority, so the full determined arrangements are published on the school's website and should be checked for definitions and evidence requirements. Unless the school's own policy says otherwise, distance is measured in a straight line from the address point of the child's home to the address point of the school as defined by the Local Land & Property Gazetteer. Paired infant and junior schools are treated as one school for the sibling criterion: Moorlands, Oldfield Park, Paulton, St Saviour's, Twerton Infant with St Michael's Junior, and Widcombe.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
