Dromore Central Primary School

When there are more applications than places for 2026-27 (P1), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.

1. 1Children who, at the date of application, have a sibling or other child of the family enrolled at the school.
2. 2Children for whom the school is the controlled school nearest to their home (measured by walking distance from the home to the school gate, as determined by Google Maps).
3. 3Children who are in the care of a Health and Social Care Trust or who are provided with accommodation by a Trust (Children Looked After).
4. 4The remaining places will be allocated on the basis of the proximity of the child's predominant normal place of residence to the school (measured by walking distance from the home to the school gate, as determined by Google Maps).
5. 5If the final places to be allocated have identical measurements (walking distance from the front door of the home to the school gate as determined by Google Maps), selection will be on the initial letter of the child’s surname (as entered on the birth certificate) in the order set out below. W B F R U V D C I Z O G P X Q A N Y H J E K S M L T This order was determined by a random selection of letters of the alphabet (selection with a clear audit trail). In the event of surnames beginning with the same letter, the subsequent letters of the name will be used in alphabetical order. In the event of two identical surnames, the order of the initials of the forenames will be used, and if necessary, the subsequent letters of the forenames.

Northern Ireland open-enrolment admissions criteria, as published by the Education Authority for entry in September 2026.

Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
